In a shocking turn of events, popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav, who recently clinched the winner’s title on the contentious reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2, finds himself embroiled in a serious legal quagmire. The social media sensation was arrested by the Noida police in connection with a case involving the procurement and distribution of snake venom at rave parties.

According to a report by NDTV, a source close to the investigation revealed that Elvish has confessed to his involvement in arranging snakes and snake venom at the parties he organized in the past. This admission comes on the heels of his arrest on Sunday, March 17, which led to his subsequent remand to 14-day judicial custody.

With this confession, Elvish faces charges under the stringent Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Media reports suggest that obtaining bail under this legislation could prove to be a Herculean task.

This development comes after months of speculation surrounding Elvish’s potential entanglement in the snake venom racket. Earlier reports indicated that samples seized from a rave party tested positive for snake venom, prompting scrutiny of the YouTuber’s activities.

In February 2024, amidst mounting scrutiny, Elvish released a video vehemently refuting the allegations against him. In the video, he accused the media of targeting him and vowed to dance naked if his presence at the alleged rave party could be proven.

The controversy first came to light when the Noida Police, in collaboration with the NGO People for Animals linked to Bharatiya Janata Party MP Maneka Gandhi, apprehended individuals involved in the illegal trade of snake venom.

Despite Elvish’s denial of involvement, incriminating evidence, including a viral video showing him with snakes, has surfaced on social media. The YouTuber, however, maintains that the footage is from a music video shoot and not indicative of his involvement in any illicit activities.

This is not the first time Elvish has found himself at the center of controversy. In November, he was briefly detained in Kota, Rajasthan, in connection with the same case. Despite repeated assertions of innocence, the specter of legal ramifications continues to loom large over him.

Elvish Yadav’s meteoric rise to fame culminated in his victory on Bigg Boss OTT 2, where he won over audiences with his charismatic persona. Following his triumph, he collaborated with model-actress Urvashi Rautela on the music video ‘Hum Toh Deewane.’ With a staggering 7.79 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, Elvish commands a substantial following, underscoring the gravity of the allegations leveled against him.

As the legal saga unfolds, the public awaits further developments in this sensational case, which has thrust the spotlight on the darker underbelly of celebrity culture.
