‘No Derogatory Remark Against a Daughter Should Be Tolerated’: Yogi Sends Strong Message to Akhilesh Yadav

Yogi Adityanath Raises Issue of Political Decorum

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, saying political disagreements should never cross the line into personal attacks, especially when women and family members are targeted.

Speaking at a public event, the Chief Minister revealed that he had personally intervened after learning about offensive comments allegedly directed at Akhilesh Yadav’s daughter.

“We Immediately Ordered an FIR”

Highlighting the government’s response, Yogi said action was taken without delay once the matter came to the attention of authorities.

“A few days ago, I noticed that some people had made inappropriate comments against the daughter of Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav. As soon as it came to my attention, I immediately instructed the police to register an FIR in the matter,” he said.

The Chief Minister stressed that respect for women must remain above political rivalry.

“No Derogatory Remark Against a Daughter Should Be Tolerated”

Taking a firm stand on the issue, Yogi said such comments have no place in public discourse.

“No derogatory remark against a daughter should be tolerated,” he stated, adding that the government acted on the matter without considering political affiliations.

The remark was seen as an attempt to underline the administration’s position that law enforcement should respond equally regardless of party lines.

Message for Akhilesh Yadav

The Chief Minister also used the occasion to challenge the Samajwadi Party leadership to ensure discipline among its own supporters.

“We made no discrimination, but Akhilesh ji, you lecture others—tell your followers to exercise restraint in their language,” Yogi said.
