NCP stirs hornet’s nest over NSA Ajit Doval’s mid-night sojourn at Nizamuddin

Maharashtra Home minister Anil Deshmukh dared to raise questions against National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s mid-night sojourn at Delhi’s Nizamuddin. Deshmukh, the senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party written a letter to Centre, it was not in a proper format. After he was criticised by the opposition for politicising the Nizamuddin issue, Deshmukh initially took U-turn and denied that he did not write a letter. However, yesterday, while speaking with TheNews21, Deshmukh confirmed that it was his letter.

When the entire world has united to fight against COVID-19, Deshmukh Maharashtra’s Home Minister came openly and raised several questions to the Union Minister Amit Shah and NSA Chief, Ajit Doval over Tablighi Jamaat attendees infected with Coronavirus.

Deshmukh on Wednesday warned Tablighi Jamaat 50 members out of 1500 who attended the event in New Delhi however are not ready to come forward. He also raised the question that why the Union Ministry should not be held responsible for the spread of Coronavirus from the religious meeting.

Both the Centre as well as the state governments in the recent past accused the leadership of Jamaat for its carelessness during a global pandemic. However, Deshmukh blamed the Central government for allowing foreigners especially those who flew from hotspot nations like Malaysia and Indonesia for the event congregation at Nizamuddin in New Delhi.

The state Home Minister Deshmukh levelled charges against the Union Home Ministry which is under the flagship of Amit Shah by saying that Maharashtra government denied permission to Tablighi Jamaat for their event in Palghar district near Mumbai.

Deshmukh raised eight-questions over the event which took place in Nizamuddin a stone away from Nizamuddin police station in New Delhi.

Devendra Fadnavis, Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the state assembly criticised Deshmukh for politicising the Tabligh issue. Fadnavis said, action must be taken against Tablighi who did not come forward. But the way home minister Anil Deshmukh is giving statement, it seems he is trying to divirt the focus of the issue. Fadnavis further said that Deshmukh should not politicise the issue.

Earlier there was a hoax going around that Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh didn’t ask these question, however, he later while speaking with TheNews21, he confirmed, “Yes, I have written the letter to Centre asking responsibility of Tablighi issue,”

However, the letter does not mention as to whom Anil Deshmukh has written the letter. It was found that the format used for official correspondence between the two government was not followed by Deshmukh while writing the letter.

Here are the questions he asked

• Why did the Union Home Ministry give permission for the congregation of Tablighi Markaz in Delhi?

• The Nizamuddin Police Station is in the vicinity of the Markaz then why was the event not stopped?

• Isn’t the Union Home Ministry responsible for the way the crowd gathered at Markaz and it lead to a spread of COVID-19 in other states?

• Who sent National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval to Markaz at 2 am? Is this the job of Delhi Police or NSA?

• What secret discussions were being held between Ajit Doval and Maulana Saad at 2 am in the Markaz?

• Why NSA Doval and Delhi police chief avoided speaking on the issue?

• Where did Maulana Saad disappear on the very next day after meeting Ajit Doval? Where is he now?

• The missing Maulana is related to whom?
