Inspector in-charge of Noida Kotwali Sector-126, Ajay Singh Chahar, found himself in a tight spot after a song featuring him in police uniform went viral on the internet. The song titled ‘Bhaichara Tagada System Aar Paar Ka,’ created on a particular caste theme, sparked outrage and questions about the officer’s conduct as the video was shot inside the police station without proper permission.

In response to the viral video, Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh swiftly placed Chahar on the line with immediate effect. The commissioner has also ordered a departmental inquiry into the matter, deeming the act a breach of discipline for creating a reel in uniform without proper authorization while on duty.

This incident comes on the heels of a similar case in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh, where police constable Aarti Solanki was suspended for making a reel in her uniform. The reel, featuring the song ‘Teri Meri Dosti Pyar Mein Badal Gayi,’ led to her suspension, with departmental proceedings initiated following the video’s viral circulation on social media.

These cases highlight the increasing scrutiny on the conduct of police personnel on social media platforms and the swift action taken by authorities to maintain discipline within the force.
