Bengaluru: Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje on Tuesday sharply criticized the Karnataka government, alleging a collapse of law and order under the leadership of Siddaramaiah, D.K. Shivakumar, and G. Parameshwara. Speaking to the media, she claimed that the state appears to be without effective governance and accused the administration of failing to protect Hindus.
“Under the leadership of Siddaramaiah, D.K. Shivakumar, and G. Parameshwara, the law and order situation in Karnataka has collapsed. It appears there is no government ruling the state. Everywhere, Hindus are being insulted. For the first time, Mysuru Dasara is being celebrated as a cultural program. In Maddur, stones were pelted at the Ganesh procession. What were the Police doing? This government wants to insult Hindus. Till when will this government continue to do appeasement politics? They should protect the Hindus,” Karandlaje said.
Her remarks come amid reports of disturbances during religious and cultural celebrations in parts of Karnataka, with Karandlaje accusing the government of indulging in appeasement politics rather than ensuring safety and maintaining communal harmony.
