Union Minister Kiren Rijiju Slams Opposition for “Creating Chaos” Over Lok Sabha Agenda

New Delhi: A fresh war of words broke out in the Lok Sabha on Monday as Union Minister Kiren Rijiju criticized the Opposition, accusing them of backtracking on a previously agreed discussion agenda and “deliberately stalling proceedings.”

Speaking during the session, Rijiju said, “It was discussed in the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) that the first item of discussion would be Operation Sindoor. The time for that debate was agreed upon and finalized. Now they want to club all the issues together — how is that even possible? Even they had agreed to the schedule earlier.”

The minister also hit out at the Congress and its allies, alleging deliberate disruption. “The Congress party and some of their allies have been creating chaos for the past two days. I strongly condemn this behavior. Parliament is meant for discussion, not disturbance,” he said.

Rijiju’s remarks come amid ongoing Opposition protests inside the House, where members are demanding a broader debate on issues ranging from national security to the controversial SIR (Special Intensive Review) exercise.
