Mumbai: Even as the state legislature secretariat is taking great pains to ensure that the Coronavirus does not make its presence felt in the corridors of power on the eve of the two day monsoon session that begins from September 7, reports are that the Legislative Assembly Speaker Nana Patole, few legislators and ministers have tested positive.
Patole has however stated that he had himself tested and the reports have been positive and assured all that he is hale and hearty and that there was no cause for any worry. The legislature secretariat has made it mandatory for all those attending the session to get themselves tested for Covid-19 only then will they be allowed to enter the Vidhan Bhavan complex to attend the session.
As the Corona pandemic was creating havoc all over Maharashtra the session of the state legislature could not take place in March-April earlier this year. Last winter session was held in Nagpur assembly December, 2019. Now after huge gaps of a month’s Monsoon session will take place in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
