In a tragic accident, two Indian Army Agniveers lost their lives during a training exercise at the Artillery School in Deolali, Nashik, Maharashtra. The incident occurred when an artillery shell accidentally burst during a firing practice, according to officials.

The Agniveers, who had recently arrived from Hyderabad for training, were participating in a routine firing exercise when the fatal accident took place. Despite immediate rescue efforts, the two soldiers succumbed to their injuries on-site.

The Indian Army expressed deep sorrow over the loss and has launched a formal court of inquiry to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
