In a shocking development in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, one of the prime accused, Raj Khushwaha — who is also alleged to be the lover of the deceased’s wife — was reportedly seen attending Raghuvanshi’s funeral in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
The revelation came to light after Shrasti, the deceased’s sister, shared a video on her social media handle. In the footage, Khushwaha can allegedly be seen standing beside the father of Raja’s wife, Sonam, during the last rites. “Raj Kushwaha was seen with Sonam’s father at Raja’s house,” Shrasti captioned the post on Instagram, expressing disbelief and concern over the accused’s presence at the ceremony.
Adding weight to the claim, Uma Raghuvanshi, mother of the deceased, also confirmed to media on Monday that Khushwaha was present at her son’s funeral. However, she clarified that she did not hold Sonam directly responsible for Raja’s death.
Further stirring controversy, reports suggest that after Raja’s body was brought back to Indore, Raj Khushwaha was spotted driving a four-wheeler carrying Sonam’s family members to the funeral site.
The presence of an accused individual at the funeral of the man he is suspected of being involved in murdering has now raised serious questions about the handling of the case and the behavior of those close to the victim. Authorities are expected to verify the authenticity of the viral video and investigate the circumstances surrounding Khushwaha’s attendance.
