New Delhi: The death toll in the devastating building collapse that struck Delhi’s Mustafabad area on Saturday morning has risen to 11, with authorities confirming that eight members of a single family were among the deceased. Rescue teams continue to scour the debris for any signs of life, even as hopes dwindle with each passing hour.

According to Delhi Police, the victims include three women and four children, underscoring the magnitude of the loss. The building’s landlord, identified as 60-year-old Tehsin, has also been confirmed dead in the collapse.

“This is a heartbreaking tragedy. Our teams are working tirelessly to ensure that anyone still trapped under the rubble is rescued at the earliest,” said a senior Delhi Fire Services official on site.

The three-storey building came crashing down early in the morning, catching its residents unaware in their sleep. Emergency personnel, including disaster response teams and fire brigade units, were immediately dispatched to the site and have been engaged in rescue operations for hours.
