Patna: As polling for the Bihar Assembly elections kicked off, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed strong confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would secure a decisive victory.

“The people of Bihar know what’s good for them. The kind of development they’ve witnessed in the last 15 years was possible only under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and CM Nitish Kumar,” Gupta said. “I have full faith that the NDA will form the government with a full majority and get more votes and seats than before,” she added.

Taking a sharp swipe at the opposition, Gupta remarked, “To the one who thinks of himself as a ‘nayak’, I want to say — the one who rules the hearts of Bihar’s people as a true ‘Jan-nayak’ will lead the state. Those who looted public money are ‘khalnayaks’ and will go to jail, while the ‘nalayak’ who misleads people will go holidaying abroad.”
