Telangana Government Launches Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme 2025, Offering Rs 4 Lakh Loans to Empower Youth from Weaker Sections with Business Opportunities

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has introduced the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme 2025, a new initiative designed to assist young people from underprivileged communities in starting their own businesses. Aimed at fostering self-employment opportunities, the scheme focuses on benefiting SC, ST, BC, Minority, and EBC/EWS groups.

The scheme offers concessional loans of up to Rs 4 lakh to eligible youth to help them set up small businesses. The scheme will be managed by various development corporations based on the applicant’s community category.

To apply for the scheme, the following eligibility criteria must be met:

Income Limits:

  • For rural residents, annual family income must be below Rs 1.5 lakh.
  • For urban residents, the income limit is set at Rs 2 lakh per year.

Age Criteria:

  • For non-agricultural businesses, the applicant must be between 21 and 55 years old.
  • For agricultural businesses, the upper age limit is 60 years.

Applicants must be from the eligible communities and should submit the necessary documentation when applying, which includes:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Caste Certificate
  • Income Certificate
  • Ration Card

Sector-Specific Documents:

  • Driving License for transport-related businesses
  • Pattadar Passbook for agriculture-related ventures

The scheme prioritizes:

  • First-time beneficiaries
  • Women (at least 25% of beneficiaries)
  • Persons with disabilities (5%)
  • Families of Telangana movement martyrs

How to Apply:

  • Visit the OBMMS Portal and register online.
  • Fill in the application form with personal, income, and business details and upload the required documents.
  • Once submitted, download and print the completed application form.
  • Submit the printed form along with original and photocopied documents at:
    • Mandal Praja Palana Seva Kendralu (MPPSK) for rural applicants
    • Municipal Commissioner or Zonal Office for urban applicants
