Teacher Beena Kedawat ushers in digital transformation, infrastructure upgrade in education sector in Parliya Ki Dhani, Rajasthan

Mumbai: Teacher Beena Kedawat has ushered in digital transformation, upgradation in school infrastructure, toy banks and other social initiatives through Antyodaya Foundation of Mumbai in and around Parliya Ki Dhani in Kota city, Rajasthan.

Beena Kedawat is working as a teacher in PM Shri Government Primary School, Parliya Ki Dhani in Rajasthan. She has brought many digital innovations and support from philanthropists in her school. Since her school is under PM Shri Yojana, development work worth up to Rs 2 crore will be done in her school.

After having all kinds of facilities in her school, she provided furniture to the nearby school with the help of philanthropists, and now she will provide digital content to this school. Due to her special attachment to children, toy banks will soon be built in 20 schools with the help of herself and Antyodaya Foundation.

Teacher Beena says that the money she gets from auctioning of gifts and trainings, she spends it for the children of poor settlements. She gets them stationery and other necessary items.

Beena has been going to all the slums of the city and making children aware of the importance of education. Beena says that the parents of these children go to work as labourers, so the children stay alone at home, to avoid any kind of accident with them, she says she is giving training on good touch and bad touch. Beena tells that in Sparsh Abhiyan, apart from the slums, she also gives training on good touch and bad touch in private schools. The program of good touch bad touch was started by former education secretary Naveen Jain in Rajasthan and she is associated with Sparsh Abhiyan with him.

Beena Kedawat always keeps doing something new. She made a short film Sparsh-1 and also made a song in the context of Pravesh Utsav which is going viral on social media. More than 200 videos related to education have been posted by Beena on her YouTube channel (Beena Kedawat). To keep the children connected with education, a WhatsApp group has been created through which she remains connected with the children.

Teacher Beena Kedawat says that digital content has been prepared so that children do not get deprived of education due to the closure of schools during Corona, which has been broadcast on Akashvani and Doordarshan.

Joint Director of Education, pleased with the work of teacher Beena, went among the children of the slums and understood their problems and assured to open the school.

Teacher Beena Kedawat says that after seeing her work, Antyodaya Foundation Mumbai selected her as Antyodaya Sevak in Kota city. With the help of the foundation, clothes have been distributed in our slums so far.

Teacher Beena Kedawat says that a teacher is the mirror of the society. To make voters aware about the elections, I have not only conducted a door-to-door campaign in Parliya Ki Dhani village, but I have also asked the Chairman of Khandelwal Seva Samiti in Kota, Ashok Nattani, to promote voting awareness. With the cooperation of the Chairman, an awareness rally was taken out in which Divisional Commissioner Urmila Rajoria, Joint Director of School Education Tej Kanwar, along with District Council and Sveep officials were present.

She is the first teacher to receive the Teacher Sitare Samman at the state level. She has been honoured by the Education Minister and District Collector on Republic Day. She has been honoured by the PEO. She has been honoured by the Head of the Institution. Beena has been honoured by many other institutions and organisations for her work.
