‘BJP Is Forming the Government… Rone Dijiye’: Suvendu Adhikari Reacts to Early Bengal Trends

As early counting trends begin to shape the narrative in West Bengal, BJP leader and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari made a series of strong remarks, expressing confidence about his party’s prospects in the state.

Responding to allegations from the Trinamool Congress, Adhikari dismissed the criticism, saying, “Rone dijiye. Khatam poora khatam…”—indicating that, in his view, the contest had already tilted decisively.

“BJP Is Forming the Government”
Commenting on the early trends, Adhikari asserted that the BJP was on course to secure power in the state. “All Hindus are united in favour of Narendra Modi… After four rounds of counting, the BJP is forming its government,” he said, pointing to what he described as a consolidation of support.

He further added, “BJP is forming the government with a clear mandate. The educated, Hindu people of Kolkata have rejected Mamata Banerjee; this is what the initial trends say…”—highlighting his interpretation of the emerging voting patterns.

High-Stakes Contest Continues
Adhikari, who is contesting from key constituencies including Nandigram and Bhabanipur, remains central to the BJP’s campaign narrative in West Bengal. His comments come at a time when counting is still underway and trends continue to evolve across the state.

While the BJP has shown strong early leads in several seats, the ruling Trinamool Congress, led by Mamata Banerjee, is also in contention, making the overall outcome far from settled.

Trends Still Developing
Election officials have reiterated that these are early rounds of counting, and final results will depend on subsequent rounds. With multiple constituencies showing close margins, the political picture in West Bengal remains dynamic and subject to change.
