Mumbai: Reacting sharply to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s protest against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) action at the I-PAC office, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) MP Supriya Sule on Friday questioned the selective use of central agencies, calling it deeply unfair and politically biased.

As per news agency inputs, Sule drew a comparison between the ED raid in West Bengal and an alleged cash recovery incident involving a cabinet minister in Maharashtra, alleging double standards in enforcement.

“Absolutely, you must have seen that yesterday there was a raid at Mamata’s I-PAC office. In Maharashtra, a full bag of cash was found at a cabinet minister’s house, yet nothing was done, no action was taken against them. But a raid was carried out at Mamata’s I-PAC yesterday. What kind of justice is this? Why is such action only taken against the opposition, while those with the ruling party are spared? This is very unfortunate,” Sule said.

Her remarks come amid escalating political tensions following the ED’s visit to the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) office, which works as an election strategy consultancy and has been closely associated with the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.
