Srinagar: A welfare meeting with retired police personnel was convened on Tuesday at District Police Lines (DPL) Handwara, under the chairmanship of SSP Handwara, Mushtaq Ahmed Choudhary (JKPS). The session focused on addressing the grievances of retired officers and reviewing welfare initiatives for their benefit.

SSP Handwara extended a warm welcome to the participants and reiterated the department’s unwavering commitment to their well-being. He emphasized that retired police personnel remain an integral part of the police family and assured them of open access to officers and police units whenever needed.

During the interactive session, the retired personnel presented various issues, which the SSP pledged to escalate to the relevant authorities for resolution. He underscored that the welfare of retired personnel and their families remains a priority for the police department.
