Delhi: Union Minister and BJP President JP Nadda on Monday raised a strong objection in the Rajya Sabha over slogans reportedly raised against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Congress rally in Delhi on Sunday. Addressing the House, Nadda said the incident reflects the mindset of the opposition party and called it completely unacceptable.
“In the Congress rally yesterday, slogans were raised against PM Modi. This shows the Congress party’s thinking and mentality. Saying such things against a Prime Minister is condemnable,” Nadda said. He further added, “Sonia Gandhi ji should apologise to the nation for this.”
Nadda’s remarks came amid heightened political tensions in Parliament following the viral videos of the rally. He emphasised that such incidents undermine the decorum of democracy and called for immediate action from the Congress leadership to take responsibility and apologise publicly.
