Mumbai: In a recent phone conversation with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar revealed that the ruling party had suggested backing the Maharashtra Governor for the upcoming Vice President election.
“He called and said that the Maharashtra Governor is the NDA’s candidate for the Vice President’s post, so we should support him, but we did not agree to that,” Pawar stated, making it clear that the NCP would not endorse the proposal.
