Srinagar: The 75 years of progressive India and a glorious history of its people is being celebrated country wide in one way or the other. On the theme of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav Desh ki Hifazat Desh ki Suraksha, 172 Bn Border Security Force (BSF), Trehgam organised a series of events from March 6 to March 9.
About 50 school children from Trehgam area visited BSF campus Trehgam and familiarised themselves with the lives of the men in uniform guarding our nation’s borders. They interacted with all ranks of 172 BSF Battalion.
A Dog show organised on the occasion was the point of attraction for children, wherein two trained Labradors and a German Shepherd displayed their skills in sniffing, tracking and acrobatics.
Besides, an exhibition of modern weapons was also presented, the children have shown their inquisitiveness in the exhibition.
Finally, the visit of different age group youths ended with a note of thanks from Commandant 172 Bn BSF.
