Delhi: In a chilling turn in the Seelampur murder case, the key accused, Lady Don alias Zikra, has reportedly confessed that the brutal killing of 17-year-old Kunal was driven by revenge. According to an India TV report, Zikra told investigators that the murder was retaliation for an earlier assault on her cousin Sahil in November 2023.

Zikra claimed that during that incident, Sahil was the target of an attempted murder allegedly carried out by Lala and Shambhu—two individuals known to be close associates of Kunal. Although Kunal was allegedly present during the attack, his name was omitted from the FIR as he was a minor at the time.

“Kunal was there that night. He was part of it, even if not named in the complaint,” Zikra reportedly told police, as per the India TV report. Believing that Kunal had played a key role in orchestrating the earlier attack, Zikra and Sahil allegedly planned a calculated act of revenge.

The murder, which took place earlier this month, has now been identified by investigators as a case of retaliation rather than a spontaneous act of violence. Police sources revealed that Sahil, along with an accomplice named Dilshad, had been on the run since the murder took place.

A senior investigating officer said, “This was a planned act. We are exploring all angles and attempting to locate the absconding accused. There may be more people involved.”

A manhunt is currently underway to trace Sahil and Dilshad. The police have not ruled out the possibility of more accomplices being part of the conspiracy. Further arrests are likely in the coming days as the probe deepens.
