Mumbai: With the release of Salman Khan’s much-awaited film, Sikandar just around the corner, fans are buzzing with excitement. The superstar, currently busy with promotions, recently spoke about the growing trend of controversies surrounding film releases and expressed his desire to keep Sikandar free from any unnecessary drama.

When asked why there hasn’t been any controversy around Sikandar so far, Salman responded with a mix of humor and experience, saying, “Arey nahin chahiye bhai humko koi controversy. Bohot saari controversies se guzar chuke hain hum. Humko nahin chahiye koi controversy” (Oh no, brother, we don’t want any controversy. We’ve already been through so many. We don’t need any more).

He dismissed the idea that controversies contribute to a film’s success, pointing out that they often delay releases instead of boosting box office numbers. “A film should speak for itself, not because of any gimmicks,” he added.

Reflecting on past experiences, Salman recalled how his film Loveyatri had to undergo a last-minute title change due to controversy. “There was no real need for it, and we didn’t even want it. This family should remain without controversies for a lifetime—we have already seen enough.”
