Srinagar: Maulana Manzoor Ahmad Kirmani, a well-known religious preacher was remembered on his first death anniversary on Monday by his family and relatives.
A book titled Kuch Baatein Kuch Yaadein on the life of the late Maulana Manzoor Ahmad Kirmani was unveiled at the town hall in Handwara.
The well-known religious preacher died last year on February 23 in a tragic accident on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway while going to attend a marriage ceremony in Uttar Pradesh.
On the first death anniversary of the late Manzoor Ahmad Kirmani, his family, relatives, and friends paid a heartfelt tribute to him on his first anniversary and arranged a special prayer meeting for the departed soul.
The family members said that in the near future, a grand memorial service will be held in his hometown, Handwara, in memory of the late Maulana Manzoor Ahmad Kirmani.
They said that we will never forget Kirmani Sahib because of his genius and attractive personality, which is still in our eyes and will remain forever. They prayed to Allah Almighty to give him a high position in Paradise.
Grand Mufti, Mufti Nasir ul Islam, Director Land records Dr Hafeezullah Masoodi, Private school association president G N War, Chairman municipal committee Handwara, Masroor Ahmad Banday besides many others dignities were present on this ocassion.
