Srinagar: To mark the occasion of World Environment Day, Rainbow Kids School Handwara in association with Municipal Committee Handwara organised an awareness rally from the school to Main Chowk Handwara. During the course of the rally the students of the school carried placards in their hands with slogans urging people to keep the environment clean.
Masroor Ahmad Banday, Municipal Committee Chairman, Farooq Ahmed, Executive Officer Municipal Committee and school staff were also present on this occasion
Speaking to the media Municipal committee Chairman Masroor Ahmad Banday said that pollution of the environment has increased and global warming is taking place.
He said that today Rainbow Kids School in association with the Municipal Committee Handwara, organised an awareness rally on this environment day so that people are aware of this and we have to keep our environment clean.
On the occasion, the principal of the school said that the aim of the rally was to make people aware about the environment. “It is the responsibility of all of us to come forward to keep our environment clean and to spread awareness about it. And we all have to save our environment. In which school children shed light on Environment Day”, said the school principal.
