During the online session, a follower asked Gandhi to name his favourite politician from the BJP. Responding to the question, he chose Captain Amarinder Singh, praising the former Punjab Chief Minister for his personality and deep knowledge of military history.
Gandhi said, “Captain Amarinder Singh, definitely. I get along with him. He is cool, and he is an expert on military history. Hello, Uncle Amarinder!”
The Congress later posted the video on X, highlighting Gandhi’s response to the question.

Who Is Captain Amarinder Singh?
Captain Amarinder Singh served as Punjab Chief Minister on two occasions while representing the Congress. After differences with the party leadership, he resigned from the Congress in 2021 and launched the Punjab Lok Congress.
A year later, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, and his regional party was subsequently merged with the BJP. Despite now being with the BJP, Amarinder Singh continues to share a cordial personal equation with Rahul Gandhi, as reflected in the Congress leader’s latest remarks.
