Bettiah: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday came out strongly in defence of her brother, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, dismissing allegations that he had ever disrespected the Indian Army.

Addressing a public meeting in Bettiah, Priyanka said, “My brother (Rahul Gandhi) has never said anything that would insult the army, nor will he ever say anything like that. The ones who care the most for the army, who are devoted to its service, is my brother. He stands for the truth and these people cannot match him.”

Her remarks came amid political tensions, as the BJP has repeatedly accused Rahul Gandhi of making statements undermining the armed forces. The Congress, however, has consistently denied these claims, asserting that Rahul’s criticisms are directed at the government, not the military.
