New Delhi: Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday came out in strong support of her party leader Rahul Gandhi, asserting that he would not back down in the face of alleged electoral irregularities. Speaking to the media, Priyanka Gandhi addressed the ongoing controversy regarding the “vote chori” allegations raised by Rahul Gandhi against the Election Commission (EC).
“On this ‘vote chori’ issue, they [Election Commission] should tell the truth. Rahul ji is not afraid of any attack; he will endure everything and will not step back,” Priyanka Gandhi said firmly. She added that the EC, unable to answer Rahul Gandhi’s questions regarding voter roll irregularities and alleged malpractices, has instead shifted focus to demands for affidavits and references to former leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.
Priyanka Gandhi emphasized that Rahul Gandhi’s campaign is rooted in transparency and accountability, asserting that the people deserve honest answers from the Election Commission. “Because they are not able to answer the questions raised by Rahul ji, they start talking about affidavits, Nehru ji, Indira ji…” she remarked.
