AAP MP Sanjay Singh Slams Election Commission Over “Deleted Votes” in Bihar

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh on Tuesday strongly criticized the Election Commission (EC) for reportedly removing 22 lakh names from the voter list in Bihar, asserting that the deletion exposed long-standing irregularities.

Speaking to the media, Singh said, “Election Commission has clearly said that it has cut 22 lakh votes in Bihar as those were names of deceased persons over the last 20 years. It means for the last 20 years, the names of many deceased were published in the Bihar voters’ list.”

Singh added that such lapses reflect poorly on the EC’s management of electoral rolls and questioned attempts to shield wrongdoing under political influence. “It is not right if you think that you can do anything under the shelter of PM Modi,” he remarked, signaling concerns over potential partisan interference in the election process.
