Prime Minister Narendra Modi, following the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, took to social media platform X to announce a groundbreaking initiative – the ‘Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana.’ The scheme aims to revolutionize the energy sector by promoting the installation of rooftop solar panels on one crore houses.

“All the devotees of the world always get energy from the light of Suryavanshi Lord Shri Ram. Today, on the auspicious occasion of consecration in Ayodhya, my resolution got further strengthened that the people of India should have their own solar rooftop system on the roof of their houses,” stated the prime minister.

In a series of posts, Prime Minister Modi shared images of discussions with officials, underscoring the government’s commitment to this visionary project. The initiative is anticipated to not only alleviate the burden of electricity bills for the poor and middle class but also contribute significantly to making India self-reliant in the energy sector.

“The first decision I have taken after returning from Ayodhya is that our government will launch ‘Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana.’ This will not only reduce the electricity bill of the poor and middle class but will also make India self-reliant in the energy sector,” he added.

The announcement comes on the heels of the prime minister presiding over the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple, attended by over 7,000 invitees, including prominent figures from various fields. Expressing optimism for India’s future, Prime Minister Modi stated, “This is India’s time, and India is going to move forward. After waiting for centuries, we have reached here. We will continue to reach the heights of development.”

Expressing gratitude to the Judiciary of India for settling the decades-old dispute over the Ram Temple, Modi emphasized, “The Supreme Court in 2019 had settled the decades-old dispute. Embodiment of justice, Shri Ram’s temple was constructed through just means.”

The prime minister highlighted nationwide celebrations, with processions and cleanliness campaigns taking place in temples, even in small villages, reflecting the joy and pride felt across the entire nation. The launch of the ‘Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana’ signifies a monumental step towards sustainable energy solutions and reinforces India’s commitment to self-sufficiency in the energy sector.
