New Delhi: As the 2025 Delhi assembly elections approach, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sharply criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing them of pushing the national capital into a state of crisis over the last decade. Speaking at an event in Ashok Vihar’s Ramlila Ground, PM Modi referred to the current Delhi government as being led by “kattar beimaan” (bigoted dishonest) individuals, particularly targeting Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

The Prime Minister, in a veiled reference to Kejriwal, stated that by using Anna Hazare as a front, a few “dishonest” people have steered Delhi towards disaster, calling it “AAPada,” meaning a catastrophe for the city. Modi emphasized that the people of Delhi have had enough and are determined to rid the city of this “disaster.”

PM Modi continued his attack on the AAP-led government, accusing them of engaging in corruption and then glorifying it. “First the theft, and then the arrogance… this AAP has come to Delhi,” he said, while underscoring his own dedication to the public by stating that he had never built a house for himself but had built over four crore houses for the poor.

The Prime Minister also took aim at the Delhi government’s failure to address the deteriorating condition of the Yamuna river. “What kind of aapda is this? They say cleaning Yamuna won’t get them votes—will you leave Yamuna like this if it doesn’t get you votes?” he questioned, highlighting the government’s lack of action on key issues.
