Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a strong statement ahead of the Budget Session 2025, remarked that this was the first time in 10 years that no external forces had attempted to create controversy or unrest before the session.

Addressing the media on Friday, Modi highlighted that since 2014, there had always been efforts from outside India to spark tensions before Parliament sessions.

“People, especially media professionals, should take note—since 2014, before every session, there have been attempts to create disturbances. But for the first time, no such foreign interference has taken place,” Modi said.

A Decade of Disruptions?
Modi suggested that opposition-backed narratives often surfaced right before key parliamentary sessions, subtly referencing past controversies, including allegations against Adani Group and SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch.

“For the past 10 years, I have observed that before every session, certain forces were ready to create mischief, and there was no shortage of those eager to fan the flames. This session is different,” the Prime Minister added.

Strategic Budget Session Begins
With political and economic stakes high, the Budget Session 2025 is expected to witness intense debates on economic policies, taxation, and governance priorities. The PM’s remarks set the stage for a heated session with the opposition likely to push back on his claims.
