Pahalgam Attack Was Avenged: PM Modi in Bihar Says ‘Terror Camps Were Destroyed as Promised’

Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a massive election rally in Bihar’s Karakat on Thursday, invoked a painful chapter in India’s history — a terror attack in Pahalgam — and reminded the nation of his fulfilled vow to retaliate with unmatched force.

Recalling the tragic incident, Modi said, “A terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam and our innocent citizens got killed. I came to Bihar after that and promised the country that terrorist camps would be destroyed. I said they will be punished beyond their imagination. I have come to Bihar today after fulfilling my promise.”

With the Lok Sabha elections in full swing, the Prime Minister’s remarks drew loud cheers from the crowd as he emphasized national security and his government’s uncompromising stance against terrorism.

Though Modi did not specify the exact attack, his reference was seen as a nod to India’s surgical and air strikes that targeted terrorist infrastructure across the border in response to major attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in recent years.

The Prime Minister framed the action as a testament to India’s growing global confidence and strategic assertiveness under his leadership. “This is New India. We do not forget, and we do not forgive. Those who harm our citizens will pay a heavy price,” he declared.
