‘Saboot Gang at It Again’: BJP Slams Rahul Gandhi, Revanth Reddy Over Rafale Remarks, Accuses Congress of Echoing Pakistan Line”

New Delhi: BJP leaders Amit Malviya and Sambit Patra on Friday launched a blistering attack on Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for their controversial remarks questioning the Rafale deal and India’s military claims, accusing them of “parroting Pakistan’s narrative” and disrespecting the Indian armed forces.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson and MP Sambit Patra lambasted Congress for repeatedly seeking “proof” of India’s military actions. “The ‘saboot gang’ is back. When the nation is united in its pride for our armed forces, Congress chooses to question them,” Patra said.

He further mocked Rahul Gandhi, saying, “Instead of asking how many Pakistani air bases were destroyed or how many terrorists were killed, Rahul Gandhi is only interested in knowing how many Indian planes were shot down.” Patra added, “Yeh jo Pakistan ke Babbar hain, woh Hindustan ke Gabbar hain,” drawing a sharp analogy to portray Congress leaders as sympathisers of Pakistan’s stance.

Patra also accused Sonia Gandhi of having sympathised with terrorists and claimed that Rahul Gandhi celebrated after the 26/11 attacks. He added that the Congress now continues its “anti-national commentary” through leaders like Revanth Reddy and Jairam Ramesh.

“India destroyed 9 terror camps and 11 Pakistani air bases in precise strikes. If Rafale jets had been shot down, there would be satellite evidence, wreckage, or third-party confirmation. There is none. Congress is only spreading manufactured doubt,” Patra said.

BJP IT Cell Head Amit Malviya echoed the sentiment on X (formerly Twitter), posting: “After Rahul Gandhi, now Telangana CM and Congress leader Revanth Reddy asks — ‘How many Rafale jets did Pakistan shoot down?’ It’s astonishing how disconnected they are from matters of national security.”

He added, “Instead of supporting the Indian military, Congress leaders are pushing WhatsApp-level gossip as national discourse. They seem more like Pakistan’s PR team than India’s opposition.”
