Orphan Girls celebrated Raksha Bandhan with Indian Army Soldiers in Kupwara

@JournalistAadil

Srinagar: Raksha Bandhan is celebrated not just in India but throughout the world. This is the festival which celebrates the bond of trust and affection between a brother and his sister. On this day sisters tie Rakhi on the wrist of their brothers and in return the brothers promise sisters to always protect them from any evil.

With the same feelings in their heart, and to strengthen the love and bond with Indian Army soldiers, more than 50 girls of an orphanage from Kupwara tied the Rakhi’s to the soldiers. The Indian Army soldiers also promised to ensure the well-being of their Rakhi sisters in the same way as they stand to protect the country.

Whole country is celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ and this feeling of patriotism was visible among these girls when they sang patriotic songs and also expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for giving them the opportunity to establish the bond of trust and affection.
