Mumbai: “The three Language policy will never be allowed in Tamil Nadu. The people of our state have been firm in two language policy for eight decades” said Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, K Palaniswami opposing language formula of New Education Policy (NEP). He also urged the PM to reconsider this policy on Monday.

Political parties in TN including giants DMK and AIADMK have come together to oppose the three language formula exerted by the Modi Government’s New Education Policy (NEP).

Speaking on this issue with thenews21 Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant said “Tamil people have always been against Hindi intensely. Our party’s politics has always propagated Marathi Language but we don’t hate Hindi.

He also taunted saying “When it comes to grabbing government job’s in Delhi at that time these Tamilian’s forget their Tamil pride. They act like slaves of English language.”

Meanwhile Congress speaker Sachin Sawant said “The education policy itself is wrong. They brought this policy out of nowhere and without consulting experts.” On the language issue he said “Despite having all the knowledge and syllabus in English they have added other languages it’s an aimless policy overall.

MNS leader Abhijeet Panse said “When the topic is about New Education Policy (NEP) our party welcomes the policy as it includes good reforms, technologies and techniques.”

On the language issue he said ” When it comes to State language I believe if the majority population speaks Tamil in Tamil Nadu there’s nothing wrong implementing in regional language, particular state’s specific language must be respected in that state.”

He also suspiciously questioned “What is the purpose behind spreading Hindi in the South Indian States?” “Policy’s and Reforms often get made in this nation but their implementation remains mysterious” he added.By Rishikesh Chavan
