Delhi: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan over his recent statement on military operations, accusing the Congress of repeatedly disrespecting the valour and sacrifice of India’s Armed Forces.

Reacting strongly to Chavan’s remarks, Singh said questioning the bravery of soldiers was unacceptable and went against the national interest. “No one has the right to insult the valour of the Armed Forces. Those who do so can never think of the nation’s interest,” the Union Minister said, taking direct aim at the Congress leadership.

Singh further alleged that such statements reflect a pattern within the Congress party. “It has become the Congress’s habit to insult the Armed Forces,” he said, adding that political differences should never cross the line into undermining the morale of soldiers who risk their lives for the country.

The BJP leader’s comments come amid an intense political row triggered by Chavan’s controversial observations on a recent military operation. The remarks sparked outrage across the ruling party, with several BJP leaders accusing the Congress of playing politics over national security.
