Patna: RJD leader and former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav launched a scathing attack on the Bihar government on Thursday, even as he welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision to allow Aadhaar as an identity document for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list.

Calling it a “big victory,” Yadav clarified, “We are not against the SIR but are against the process by which it is being carried out.”

He accused Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy CMs of “sheltering criminals” and presiding over a state where, according to him, “there is not even a single day when criminal activities are not taking place.”

Escalating his attack, Yadav said, “Corruption has increased in Bihar. Nitish Kumar has become the ‘Bhishma Pitamaha’ of corruption. In collusion with retired officials, they are looting Bihar, and the public will take revenge in the coming elections.”
