Mumbai: Reacting to the outcome of the Maharashtra civic body elections, state minister Nitesh Rane said the verdict from Mumbai reflected public confidence in the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance and its core agenda of development and security.
Speaking after the results were declared, Rane described Mumbai’s electorate as deeply committed to national interest and said the mandate clearly favoured the ruling alliance. “The people of Mumbai, the patriotic people, have stood with the BJP and the Mahayuti, have expressed their trust. We contested the elections on these two issues—development and security. I am confident that we will certainly work towards this and further strengthen this trust of Mumbai,” he said.
Rane asserted that the civic poll results send a strong message that voters are prioritising stable governance and infrastructure growth over political instability. He added that the BJP would focus on fulfilling its promises and ensuring that Mumbai continues to progress as a secure and economically strong city.
