Launching a sharp political attack, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi “controls” Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, intensifying the war of words ahead of crucial elections.
Addressing a public meeting in Kannur, Gandhi made strong remarks questioning the political dynamics between the BJP and the ruling Left government in Kerala.
“CM Knows Modi Holds the Key”
“The CM of Kerala knows that Narendra Modi is not acting on his cases. He knows that Modi has the key to putting him in jail right now,” Gandhi alleged.
Questions Silence Between BJP and LDF
He further pointed out what he described as a “silent understanding” between the BJP and the Left Democratic Front (LDF).
“You will hear Congress attacking Narendra Modi, but you will never hear the Kerala CM attacking Modi or Modi attacking the Kerala CM,” he said.
Political Heat Rises in Kerala
The remarks come amid an intensifying political battle in Kerala, where Congress is trying to position itself as the main challenger to both the BJP and the LDF.
Gandhi’s comments are expected to further escalate tensions between political parties as campaigning gathers momentum in the state.
High-Stakes Electoral Battle
With elections approaching, such sharp exchanges highlight the aggressive strategies being adopted by parties to consolidate voter support.
Rahul Gandhi’s remarks have now added a fresh layer to Kerala’s political contest, setting the stage for a heated campaign in the coming days.
