NCP spokesperson Clyde Crasto Slams PM Modi for Hypocrisy in Anti-Corruption Speech

NCP spokesperson Clyde Crasto criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday for his recent speech, in which he urged his party workers to create a meter that could expose corruption to the public.

Crasto pointed out the apparent hypocrisy in Modi’s statement, highlighting that when Eknath Shinde’s group was part of Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena, the BJP would often target their MLAs and accuse them of corruption. However, now that Eknath Shinde has formed an alliance with the BJP in Maharashtra, there seems to be no action or reaction from the ruling party.

Crasto further called on BJP workers to develop a corruption meter for Eknath Shinde’s group as well, as they currently hold power. This, he argued, would enable the public to gauge the extent of corruption associated with their actions.

Earlier today, during his own address, PM Modi accused certain political parties of engaging in corrupt practices. The NCP spokesperson’s criticism reflects the ongoing political tensions and debates surrounding the issue of corruption in Maharashtra.
