Srinagar: The 7th Battalion of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) on Monday organized a one-day conference for Associated NCC Officers (ANOs) at its Battalion Headquarters in Kupwara. The event aimed to enhance the reach and effectiveness of the battalion across the region.

The conference was formally inaugurated by Commanding Officer, Colonel Amit Bhardwaj, along with Second-in-Command   Lieutenant Colonel,  S S Misquith. Over fifty ANOs from various educational institutions participated in the session.

Speaking on the occasion, CO Bhardwaj emphasized the objective of the conference—to engage ANOs and acquaint them with various operational and outreach aspects of the NCC. “Our goal is to involve more students with NCC by strengthening our collaboration with educational institutions,” he said.

He further added that currently, 42 educational institutions in the Kupwara district are affiliated with the NCC, and many more are in the process of joining.

The conference included discussions on best practices, training modules, and strategies for increasing student participation in the NCC, which plays a vital role in youth development and nation-building.
