Srinagar: Famous musician and budding youth icon from the valley Waqar Khan urged fellow Kashmiri youth to follow the right path in their life and utilise their energy to achieve their aim in life. He emphasised on the importance of hard work and dedication by sharing the journey of his own life as a common Kashmiri to a gold medallist in college and later as a rising star of the valley who now has many followers.
Being a young and budding icon from Kashmir valley and a role model for many, he in his address motivated the youth. During the interaction, he also shared various instances from his musical journey and discussed various forms of music with the youth and how it helps spread peace and harmony in society.
The Naugam Brigade on Monday had organised an event for the youth of Mawar valley where Waqar Khan was invited as the chief guest, Waqar Khan who is also known as ‘Kashmir’s Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’ motivated and steered the youth of the region to achieve success in their life.
He paid his gratitude to the Indian Army and also to the people of Mawar valley for inviting him to motivate the youth of the region which shows that the importance of investing in the youth who are the important pillars in nation development is well understood. He also highlighted the rich culture and art which the Mawar valley has hosted since ages.
The event witnessed a large footfall of youth who got an opportunity for an interactive session with Waqar Khan.
The enthusiastic youth poured in a series of questions which were addressed by the chief guest. The audience cheered showing their love for their hero and waiting for their turn for an interaction with him. Mysticism and Sufism found in Kashmir will continue to inspire me and influence my music so that I can produce rich melodies,” he added.
The gathered audience thanked him for his live performance saying that it will go a long way in motivating the youth and exploring their interests in music and culture and converting their passions into profession.
The program concluded with Naugam Brigade felicitating Waqar Khan and his team which was followed by the media interaction. The event being one of its kind and first for the youth of Mawar valley is expected to create an impact on the minds of youth to achieve success in life.
