Srinagar:
Two years ago, I left my friend for no reason. After one year he met with an accident and died. Previous night, I was scanning my phone gallery. I saw his photos and I felt totally low, tears rolled down on my cheeks.
I started listening to Bollywood “Ja tuji Maaf kiya”. I fell asleep.
At midnight, the ugly belligerent and seriously scary knocked off my sleep. I was trying to recall her, recognise her, she was my friend’s girlfriend, “Nahila” who was killed when she was 25 and I was almost 18 yrs. old.
Nahila had been funny, easy going and a terrific friend to me.
In my dreams, she was suddenly haunting me, and why had she been transferred into a threatening wrath. In my native area ghosts are supposed to harm us and to be scary. I had never before been terrified.
I knew that Nahila was truly dead and gone. I didn’t even believe in ghosts, and I don’t think that dreams could be trusted.
All I knew was Nahila had returned and this time she was out for my blood. (it’s not clear to me how and why) I woke up terrorised, a gentleman in my 20s hiding my head in bed cloth.
