Mumbai: Business tycoon Raj Kundra has been summoned by a special PMLA court in connection with the high-profile Bitcoin scam, with the court directing him to appear on January 19. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has accused Kundra of receiving 285 bitcoins from Amit Bhardwaj, the alleged mastermind behind the Gain Bitcoin scam.

According to the ED, the digital currency, valued at over ₹150 crore, remains in Kundra’s possession. Kundra has maintained that he only acted as a mediator in the transactions, a claim that the ED has dismissed. The court’s action follows the ED’s chargesheet, which outlines the alleged irregularities and financial misconduct in the multi-crore cryptocurrency fraud.
