Kashmir: National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has issued a stark warning about the rising communal tensions in India. Speaking at a public event, Abdullah highlighted the growing divide between communities, urging citizens and political leaders to prioritize national unity over electoral gains.
“For the past few years in our country, a fire of hatred has been burning. Hindus and Muslims are being divided in order to win elections. Now tell me, what should we do? This nation belongs to everyone, our strength is unity in diversity. People of all religions live here,” Abdullah said.
The veteran politician emphasized that communal harmony is essential for India’s social and economic progress. He cautioned against exploiting religious differences for political advantage, stressing that divisive tactics weaken the nation and undermine its democratic values.
