Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Chief, Mayawati, strongly refuted claims made by Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Ram Gopal Yadav that the BSP was set to join the INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) – an Opposition alliance consisting of over 26 political parties. This alliance has been formed to counter the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
Mayawati, in a statement released on Wednesday, criticized the media for amplifying the claims made by Yadav and raised questions about the motives behind such reports, suggesting the possibility of an underlying “agenda.”
The BSP leader expressed her concern over the spread of “fake news” and urged her party workers to remain vigilant and discerning when consuming information. She specifically mentioned that a private news channel had been speculating and reporting on the BSP’s potential involvement in the INDIA alliance solely based on the claims made by the SP leader, Ram Gopal Yadav.
