Maratha activist Manoj Jarange Patil has been on a tour for the past few days, engaging with locals and discussing issues surrounding reservation. Today, Patil found himself in Parbhani, where he took the opportunity to express his discontentment with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s handling of the reservation matter.

In his address to the public, Patil criticized Chief Minister Shinde, stating that while he holds no personal enmity towards Shinde or Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, he expects the government to fulfill the demands of the Maratha community. Patil emphasized the need for immediate implementation of the community’s demands, without any further delay.

Patil’s remarks took aim at Chief Minister Shinde’s perceived lack of commitment towards addressing the concerns of the Maratha community. He accused Shinde of neglecting the community’s interests after initially garnering their support. Patil lamented the disillusionment among Marathas, highlighting their growing frustration with the political establishment.

Furthermore, Patil expressed his unwavering resolve to fight for the rights of the Maratha community, even at the risk of his own life. He underscored the significance of unity among Marathas, noting that their collective strength could be a force to reckon with. Patil called for solidarity and cooperation among Marathas, urging them to stand firm in their demand for reservation.

Patil’s criticism extended to Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis, accusing him of harboring animosity towards the Maratha community. He challenged Fadnavis to undergo an eight-day fast with him, suggesting that only through such actions would Fadnavis understand the plight of the Marathas. Patil reiterated that the community would not relent in their pursuit of reservation until their demands were met.

As Patil’s tour continues and his message resonates with Marathas across the state, the pressure mounts on the government to address the longstanding grievances of the community. The coming days are likely to witness intensified efforts from both sides as the debate over reservation in Maharashtra rages on.
