Earlier today, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee paid a visit to the residence of actor Amitabh Bachchan at Jalsa in Mumbai to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. Mamata Banerjee is currently in the city to participate in the forthcoming two-day meeting of I-N-D-I-A, scheduled between August 31st and September 1st.
Following the Rakhi tying ceremony with Amitabh Bachchan, Mamata Banerjee left Jalsa and shared her interaction with the actor. She expressed, “Today, I am filled with happiness. I met Amitabh Bachchan, the ‘Bharat Ratan’ of India (Mamata Banerjee referred to Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan as Bharat Ratan) and had the honor of tying him a Rakhi. I hold this family dear to my heart. They are India’s foremost family, making significant contributions… I also extended an invitation for him to join the Durga Puja celebrations and the International Film Festival.”
Besides Amitabh Bachchan, Mamata Banerjee was warmly welcomed by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Aaradhya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, and Navya Naveli. They stepped out of their residence to bid farewell to the Chief Minister.
