India Achieves Landmark as Indigenous 700 MWe Nuclear Power Plant in Gujarat Attains Full Capacity

India has marked yet another significant achievement, with the successful commencement of operations at its inaugural 700 MWe indigenous nuclear power facility in Gujarat. The Kakrapar Nuclear Power Plant Unit-3 is now fully operational, following its previous operation at 90% capacity subsequent to its declaration of commercial viability on June 3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to extend his felicitations to the “dedicated scientists and engineers” responsible for this momentous event. In a tweet, PM Modi celebrated the occasion, stating, “India reaches a new milestone as the Kakrapar Nuclear Power Plant Unit-3, the country’s foremost 700 MWe indigenous facility located in Gujarat, initiates operations at maximum capacity. Heartfelt congratulations to our accomplished scientists and engineers.
