Mamata Banerjee Calls Narendra Modi ‘Biggest Infiltrator’, BJP Hits Back

In a fiery political attack ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections, Mamata Banerjee on Saturday called Prime Minister Narendra Modi the “biggest infiltrator,” triggering a fresh political storm.

Speaking at an Eid gathering held at Kolkata’s Red Road, Banerjee accused the BJP of trying to influence upcoming elections and warned against what she termed as attempts to undermine voters’ rights.

“BJP hatao, desh bachao. Modi and his party leaders are the biggest infiltrators. Those who are targeting Bengal will go to hell,” she said.

Banerjee claimed that the ongoing SIR (Special Intensive Revision) exercise is part of a larger strategy to manipulate the electoral process in the state.

“I have been to the Supreme Court to move against the exercise. We will neither allow BJP nor Modi to take away the voting rights of the genuine voters,” she asserted.

Her remarks underline the growing tension between the ruling Trinamool Congress and the BJP ahead of the polls.

BJP’s Infiltration Narrative Back In Focus

The infiltration issue has been a key campaign plank for the BJP in West Bengal. Both Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have repeatedly accused the state government of failing to control illegal infiltration.

Banerjee, however, hit back strongly, accusing the BJP of hypocrisy.

Taking her attack further, the Chief Minister said the BJP promotes divisive politics within India.

“When you are in India, suddenly the Hindu-Muslim narrative begins, but when you go to other countries you shake hands with other leaders,” she said, adding that she respects all nations but will not allow people’s rights in Bengal to be compromised.

“I still hope that the voting rights of the people will be protected. If no one is there, I will protect the people of Bengal,” Banerjee added.

BJP Hits Back

Responding sharply, Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari questioned Banerjee’s remarks, saying the Chief Minister was “not in a proper frame of mind.”

Political Battle Intensifies

With strong statements from both sides, the political atmosphere in West Bengal is heating up rapidly. The infiltration issue, voter rights, and sharp personal attacks are expected to dominate the election campaign in the coming days, setting the stage for a fierce battle between TMC and BJP.
