Mumbai: Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Ambadas Danve, has written a letter to Governor CP Radhakrishnan accusing Assembly Speaker and Council Chairman of not allowing opposition leaders to speak on crucial issues in the legislature.
In the letter, Danve alleged that the ruling BJP-Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) government is deliberately suppressing opposition voices by preventing them from raising significant matters concerning Maharashtra. “The Speaker and Chairman are obstructing the opposition from discussing key issues. This is an attempt to stifle democracy and avoid accountability,” he stated.

The complaint has been supported by opposition leaders from Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), who claim that legislative discussions are being manipulated to favor the ruling coalition.
